About this data
Charleston Police Department open data, set against the City's neighborhood equity data. Arrests and stops measure
police activity, not crime rates, and are recorded where they happened, not where people live, so per-resident rates run high
in business and nightlife areas. Rates are hidden for neighborhoods under 200 residents. Only date, location, charge or reason
and patrol team are requested; personal fields in the source aren't used. The City's "Incidents" layer stops in March 2017 and
is left out. Stop reason codes are CPD's own and aren't explained in the source.
